The executive director of UMB’s Office of Environmental Health and Safety has been named Biosafety Professional of the Year by the Chesapeake Area Biological Safety Association.
We are proud to share that Sherry Bohn, PhD, MSL, CBSP, executive director of the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) Office of Environmental Health and Safety, has been named Biosafety Professional of the Year by the Chesapeake Area Biological Safety Association.
This prestigious award honors Bohn’s outstanding contributions to biosafety and biosecurity, as well as her unwavering dedication to protecting people, communities, and the environment. Beyond her impactful leadership at UMB, she has gone above and beyond in advocacy for the field as the current president of ABSA International.
