April 15, 2025UMSON faculty and staff receive Dean's Teaching Scholars awards for 2025 - 2026
Six UMSON faculty and staff members have been granted Dean's Teaching Scholars Awards for 2025 - 2026. These $5,000 awards provide support for employees facilitating or developing research/projects that enhance nursing education and/or extend the evidence base for teaching and learning. The employees and projects are:
- Carissa Bragdon, DNP, ACNP-BC, CNE, assistant professor, and Caitlin Donis, PhD, MS '13, AG-ACNP, AACNS-AG, assistant professor - AG-ACNP S.A.I.L. Project
- Charlotte Seckman, PhD '08, RN, NI-BC, CNE, FAAN, associate professor, and Cheryl Fisher, EdD, MSN, RN, associate professor - Proof of Concept: Development and Validation of a Prototype Assessment Tool for Evaluate Nursing Informatics Competencies and Program Outcomes
- Barb Van de Castle, DNP '14, NI-BC, OCN-Emeritus, assistant professor, and Casey Jackson, MS, CCRP, director, Research Quality Improvement and Compliance - "Pilot for UMSON DNP Project Faculty Development Program"
