UMSON faculty and student recognized with awards at Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland conference.


At the Nurse Practitioner of Maryland annual Spring CE & Membership meeting on April 26 in Pikesville, Maryland, the following UMSON community members were recognized with awards:

  • Janet Selway, DNSc, MS ’88, AGNP-C, CPNP-PC, FAANP, associate professor and director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner specialty, received the annual LANG Award, given in recognition of a faculty member who has worked as a Leader and Advocate for Nurse Practitioner Graduates
  • Taylor Melton, DNP ’21, CRNP, AGNP-C, CNE, assistant professor, received an NPAM Challenge Coin Award for her many contributions as co-director of the NPAM Listen and Learn online continuing education series
  • Kianoush Mohajeri, DNP student, was one of three poster winners.
