Associate professor and director of Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP specialty testifies before Maryland General Assembly.


Janet Selway, DNSc, MS ’88, AGNP-C, CPNP-PC, FAANP, associate professor and director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner specialty, testified before the Maryland Senate Finance Committee and before the House Health and Government Operations Committee regarding HB602/SB407, requiring the State Board of Nursing to hold discussions with Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia to pursue reciprocity agreements for advanced practice nursing licensure and specialty certification.

Claire Bode, DNP '15, MS '10, CRNP, assistant professor, is chair of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland Legislative Committee, and she assigned Selway, an NPAM member, to work on the bill.
