Jihyeong Jeong has been selected to participate in SSWR Research Capacity Development Committee (RCDC) Research, Inspire, Support, and Excel (R.I.S.E.) Seminar, which will be held during the SSWR 2026 Annual Conference in Washington, DC.

The program offers structured mentoring and peer feedback, enabling participants to enhance their research design and professional development skills. Fifteen doctoral students are selected and paired with mentors who share similar research interests to engage in collaborative discussions focused on dissertation development, publication strategies, and preparation for academic careers.
As part of this honor, Jihyeong will also receive a $500 travel award to support her participation in the seminar and the annual conference.
Jihyeong looks forward to engaging in this mentoring and peer-learning opportunity to refine her dissertation on pathways from the osnet of community mobility limitations to homebound status among older adults.
