International Conference Presentations in Kerala India
Lynn Michalopoulos and Joan Pittman presented at the 2025 International Consortium for Social Development (ICSD) conference in Kerala India. Dr. Michalopoulos presented on the Development of a mobile application addressing the health and mental health needs of long-distance truck drivers in Zambia and Dr. Pittman presented on Outcomes and Best Practices of Short-term Study Abroad Courses.
The ICSD International Conference included students, practitioners, and academics from around the world and sparked critical reflection on the ways social work and social development professionals can advance innovative solutions to unite and improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities, locally and globally. 10 students from UMB SSW participated in the conference as part of a Global Social Work Course.
