While many families in our area are experiencing financial hardship, some Marylanders are making the time and gathering the resources to lend a helping hand to their neighbors experiencing homelessness.
“Surviving Homelessness: Supplies for a Vulnerable Population” is an initiative designed to help people step away from the daily routine and give back to families working to rebuild their lives. Event specialist Khalil Bishop joined WBAL-TV 11 News to discuss the effort and share how community members can get involved in assembling survival kits for individuals experiencing homelessness.
The kits are donated to "Health Care for the Homeless", and people can help fill them with much-needed items.
