Assistant professor and two adjunct faculty publish in the American Journal of Nursing.
Laura Allen, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, assistant professor, along with adjunct faculty members Barbara Wise, PhD, CPNP-AC/PC, and Suzanna Fitzpatrick, DNP, ACNP, FNP-BC, FAANP, published "Increasing Consumption of Healthy Snacks at an Early Head Start Center" in the September 2025 issue of the American Journal of Nursing.
The quality improvement project aimed to improve caregivers' preparation and children's enjoyment of healthy snacks, as well as caregivers' nutrition literacy, through a nutrition education program at an inner-city Early Head Start program.
