Dr. Laurie Graham and Colleagues Published in the American Journal of Community Psychology
Associate Professor Laurie Graham and colleagues recently published an article titled “'I never realized how hard recovery is.' A quasi‐experimental evaluation of a youth participatory action research project for opioid prevention" in the American Journal of Community Psychology. This article adds to literature concerning the effectiveness of using youth participatory action research (YPAR) for substance use prevention. The promising findings indicate that those who participated in YPAR experience increased knowledge and protective behaviors concerning opioids and psychological empowerment.
