Morgan Pardue-Kim and Kerri Evans

Phd candidate Morgan Pardue-Kim published an op-ed with Dr. Kerri Evans and community-based research team members in support of a federal refugee program

For her dissertation, Morgan and a community-based research team interviewed mothers who came to the United States as children without their parents and then received assistance from the federal Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM) program. They heard in vivid detail how this program positively impacted the lives of these moms -- and so many others. Executive actions have halted essential funding for this program. This op-ed is a call to reinstate the necessary resources so the URM program can continue serving refugee children in the USA.
