The fellowship recognizes leaders who are advancing high-quality, equitable care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Weston’s work focuses on building disability-inclusive nursing education, expanding interprofessional training, and strengthening partnerships with community organizations. As a Golisano Fellow, she will lead a project examining the disability education frameworks and competency models that guide health care curricula, with the goal of strengthening how disability content is integrated into nursing and interprofessional education.

This national fellowship is a 12-month program designed to develop nursing thought leaders who support and promote the health and well-being of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities across their life span and settings.
