March 18, 2025Assistant professor wins poster awards at Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association conference, appears on podcast.
Sarah Holmes, PhD, MSW, assistant professor, received the Howard Guterman Best Poster Award (overall award for all posters at the conference) and the Best Research Poster Award for her poster "Meaningful Activity Engagement for Assisted Living Residents with Dementia" at the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association PALTC25 annual conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, March 13 - 15. She was also selected to give an oral presentation of the poster for the Breaking Science session at the conference, for which the association selects the four best research submissions and features them as the latest scientific evidence in post-acute and long-term care medicine. Holmes' poster presented research from her Alzheimer’s Association-funded study.
Holmes was also featured on the February episode of the JAMDA podcast, PALTtalk, to discuss an article that she recently published in JAMDA.
