Sun Young "Sunny" Park, DNP '22, MS '17, CNE, FNP-C, assistant professor, and Rachael Holton Parran, MS, BSN, clinical instructor, delivered a podium presentation at the Association of Community Health Nurse Educators (ACHNE) Annual Institute in Columbia, South Carolina.
On June 6, Park and Parran presented “Repositioning and Threading Community and Public Health in the BSN Curriculum – Lessons Learned." This presentation highlighted innovative strategies for integrating community public health nursing education earlier in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum. Additionally, teaching methods, outcomes, and insights from a redesigned curriculum that strengthens public health nursing competencies and addressing workforce shortages were shared.
