On June 4, Theresa Di Seta, DNP '25, RN, NEA-BC, NPD-BC, assistant director of student placements for partnership development and community health, delivered a podium presentation at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Access, Connection, Engagement Symposium in Indianapolis. Her presentation highlighted the underutilization of Maryland’s preceptor tax credit as well as her pivotal role in advancing legislative changes to expand access to the benefit for Maryland nurse preceptors.
Di Seta was also selected to offer an online presentation, "Underutilization of a Healthcare Preceptor Tax Credit: Challenges and Solutions," for the American Bar Association Health Law Section Nursing and Allied Healthcare Task Force on June 19.
Di Seta's DNP project addressed Maryland's income tax credit for nurse preceptors, where she played a pivotal role in spearheading and advancing efforts to amend the legislation, earning support from eight professional organizations.
