UMSON faculty and students presented, attended, and won awards at the Mid-Atlantic Medical Directors Association 32nd Annual Conference.


UMSON had a great showing at the Mid-Atlantic Medical Directors Association 32nd Annual Conference, held Nov. 8 in Washington, D.C. 

Faculty members Barbara Resnick, PhD ’96, RN, CRNP, FAAN, FAANP, professor, Sonya Ziporkin Gertshowitz Chair in Gerontology, and associate dean for research; Sarah Holmes, PhD, MSW, assistant professor; Joan Carpenter, PhD, CRNP, ACHPN, FGSA, FPCN, FAAN, associate professor; and Shijun Zhu, PhD, DrE, professor, attended.

Anne Hagan, PhD student; Edward Zhu, a high school student (and Shijun's son) working on research with Kelly Doran, PhD '11, MS '08, RN, FAAN, associate professor; and Elisha Oduro, PhD student, presented posters.

Douglas Gyamfi, PhD student, gave a research review presentation.  

UMSON won all the poster presentation prizes, with Hagan placing first, Edward Zhu placing second, and Oduro placing third.
