Associate Professor Laurie Graham and colleagues Drs. Millan AbiNader (University of Pennsylvania) and Julie Kafka (University of Colorado Anschutz) are delivering innovative secondary data methods webinars to national audiences.
Drs. Laurie Graham, Millan AbiNader (University of Pennsylvania), and Julie Kafka (University of Colorado Anschutz) are leading numerous webinars nationally to support and expand the use of secondary datasets, like the National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS), to uncover ways to prevent violent deaths. These webinars, which are attracting hundreds of attendees, draw on their work developing and implementing innovative methods to study intimate partner violence-related homicide and suicide with NVDRS data. This effort is supported by a 2025 Catherine Barber Research Award from the American Public Health Association and the Joyce Foundation received by Dr. AbiNader.
