Lori A. Edwards, DrPH, MPH, BSN '80, RN, PCH-CNS, BC, associate professor and associate dean for the Master of Science in Nursing program, offered several presentations at the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators (ACHNE) Annual Institute 2026: Beyond the Noise - Elevating Community/Public Health Nursing through Evidence in Spokane, Washington, June 3- 6.

  • With ACHNE's Policy Committee, she conducted a two-hour pre-conference workshop on "Policy Power Hour: Developing and Implementing Political Astuteness in Educational Approaches to Advocacy in Public Health."
  • The policy committee also offered a podium presentation, "Developing and Implementing Political Astuteness in Educational Approaches to Advocacy in Public Health."
  • Edwards offered a solo podium presentation, "Why Now? Assessing the Demand for a DNP in Advanced Population and Public Health Nursing."
  • And she was also invited to participate in an opening plenary session, "The Signal Through the Generations: A Legacy of Leadership Beyond the Noise."
