Professor Paul Sacco, PhD, along with students Jihyeong Jeong and Amanda G. Hunt, and MSW alum Sara Douglas, recently published findings from a long-term follow-up study of BHWISE fellowship participants who graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore over the past decade, as well as fellows from two additional universities.
The findings indicate that an overwhelming majority of fellowship alumni are licensed social workers, with nearly three-quarters practicing in high-need communities. Alumni practice profiles reflect a strong presence in underserved and rural areas, as well as roles in youth-serving organizations and private practice settings.
