Assistant professor selected to serve as American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Maryland Liaison.
Rebecca N. Weston, EdD, MSN, RN, CNE, assistant professor from the School of Nursing at the Universities at Shady Grove, has been selected to serve as the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) Liaison for the state of Maryland.
In this role, Weston will work to raise the visibility of AAIDD’s resources, educational offerings, and membership across Maryland. She will disseminate organizational news, promote micro-volunteer opportunities, and help identify ways AAIDD can contribute to disability-inclusive education, research, and practice within the state.
The appointment reflects Weston’s continued leadership in advancing equitable, person-centered care and strengthening connections between national disability organizations, academic institutions, and community partners.
