Professor and associate dean for faculty development receives Maryland Organization of Nurse Leaders Excellence in Nursing Education Award.
Susan L. Bindon, DNP ’11, MS ’96, RN, NPD-BC, CNE, FAAN, ANEF, professor; associate dean for faculty development; director of the Institute for Educators; and director of the Teaching in Nursing and Health Professions Certificate, has been recognized with the Maryland Organization of Nurse Leaders (MONL) Excellence in Nursing Education Award. She is the inaugural recipient of this award.
Through the award, MONL seeks to acknowledge nurses in academic and educational roles who demonstrate outstanding contributions to nursing education, student development, and the advancement of the nursing profession. This award recognizes educators who inspire future nurses through teaching, mentorship, innovation, leadership, and service within academic and clinical learning environments.
Bindon will celebrate this achievement at the MONL Gala on Oct. 17.
