"Global experiences have so much to teach us as we look to meet this moment. The articles in this supplement offer proof of this assertion. The sheer breath of the issues addressed in these pages - from maternal health to water issues to aging - reminds us of the broad applicability of global learning," writes Karabi Acharya, ScD, senior director, global ideas for U.S. solutions at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, in the introduction.
The collection includes stories of engagement between people and organizations in:
- Slovenia and Athens County, Ohio
- Himachal Pradesh, India and Washtenaw County, Michigan
- Togo and the Bronx, New York
- Kenya and the state of Indiana (a three-decade partnership!)
