Third-year student pharmacist Amie Lette member of second-place team in Eli Lilly Business Competition

Amie Lette, a third-year student pharmacist at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, teamed up with student pharmacists at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Howard University College of Pharmacy to place second in the 3rd Annual National LEAP at Lilly Business Competition.

LEAP, which stands for "leverage, engage and advance pharmacists," is a collaboration between Eli Lilly and Company and the Student National Pharmaceutical Association, or SNPhA. The competition allows student pharmacists to apply their clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to address real-world pharmaceutical industry busniess challenges. Most importantly, these challenges combine Lilly's mission of improving diversity and inclusion to drive innovation with SNPhA's mission of serving the underserved.

This is the first year that the University of Maryland was represented in the top three of the LEAP at Lilly Business Competition. Congratulations to Amie and her team.
