Professor and program director honored at UMMC's 2021 Nursing Excellence Awards.
Eun-Shim Nahm, PhD ’03, RN, FAAN, professor and program director, Nursing Informatics, was honored as the University of Maryland School of Nursing Colleague award recipient during the University of Maryland Medical Center's (UMMC) virtual Nursing Excellence Awards Ceremony, held May 6.
Nahm was recognized for being a tireless innovator and committed partner with nurse leaders at the Medical Center. Nahm conceived of and leads an innovative education-practice model to address this challenge with nurse collaborators from UMSON and UMMC. The UMNursing Care Coordination Collaborative is developing classes to educate both nurses and nursing students about care coordination and population health. This model uniquely integrates education, practice, and research, with the ultimate goal of improving patient care outcomes.
