Three children reading a book

Help local youth discover the joys of reading! To kick off our celebration of National Library Week (April 3-9, 2022), the Health Sciences and Human Services Library (HSHSL) will be collecting new or gently used books for children and teens/young adults. All books will be donated to local Baltimore organizations.

Books of all genres and topics are appreciated! If interested in purchasing new books, here are a few genres and topics to consider:

  • Picture books
  • Board books
  • Graphic novels
  • Fiction
  • STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math)
  • Physical and mental health and well-being
  • Belonging and identity
  • Other topics that appeal to diverse populations

Collection boxes will be located on the first floor of the HSHSL and in other buildings across campus. Donations will be accepted through May 2022.
