Deadline: March 20, 2022

In 2019, the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments (ANHE) launched the first-of-its-kind Environmental Health Nurse Fellowship program to educate nurses to work with communities in tackling serious environmental health issues, with an emphasis on climate and health equity.

ANHE is excited to announce the launch of a second cohort of the Environmental Health Nurse Fellowship Program from June 1, 2022 - May 31, 2023. Through mentored learning with a senior nurse, fellows are provided support and guidance throughout the program so that nurses with all levels of experience can learn and find value in participation in the program. The second cohort of nurse fellows will join a growing nationwide network of nurse leaders who work in partnership with communities to enhance mitigation of and adaptation to climate change and related environmental health challenges, while ensuring the health benefits of these efforts are realized in the communities.

Participants will be notified of acceptance by April 8. We are seeking applicants for both fellows and mentors. There are a total of 24 spots for nurse fellows and 8 spots for nurse mentors.
