March 19: Challenges for Leadership and Innovation in Nursing
March 03, 2022The local chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (GBCONS) is having their annual symposium on Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Towson, MD. It is a free event with lectures, breakfast, and a vendor area.

We have a variety of leaders who will talk about challenges and the future of nursing. Karen Doyle, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, will be speaking on "The Future of Nursing Post Covid-19 Pandemic" to open the symposium for the morning.
Followed by Donna Berizzi, MSN, RN, OCN, NEA-BC in "Leading forward in 2022" and Yinette Almonte, MSN, RN, OCN, NEA-BC discussing "Nursing Leadership in the Military."
We will end the symposium with a talk from Milagros Elia, MA, APRN, ANP-BC, on "The Journey of a First-generation Professional, Minority Nurse from Clinical Oncology Practice to Environmental Health Leadership Through the Pathway of Mentorship."

Nurses may receive 3 contact hours upon successful completion of this continuing education (CE) activity. To receive a certificate of CE, participants must sign in on approved attendance form, attend the entire activity, and complete the evaluation. Partial credit is not provided for this activity. Participants receive a CE certificate at the end of the event from the University of Maryland School of Nursing.
