Program Scope
- Nursing students will be paired with pediatric nurses during their clinical immersion experience.
- The program includes opportunities to provide direct patient care, participate in patient and family centered care, practice clinical skills, and improve comfort and confidence as nursing students prepare for their future careers as licensed registered nurses.
Program Schedule
- The program runs Dec. 12, 2022 - Jan. 21, 2023 and will be conducted at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.
- If selected, nursing students will have the option to select start and end dates based on their availability during their winter break.
- Nursing students will work up to three 12-hr shifts per week, (36 hrs/week) following their assigned nurse’s schedule. Shifts will include weekdays, weekends, day and night shifts, but no holidays.
