As a reminder, newly hired full-time faculty members of UMSON may be eligible for the New Nursing Faculty Fellowship awarded by the Maryland Higher Education Commission. To be eligible, applicants must be working in a full-time teaching capacity and must have been offered employment after July 1, 2021 and begin their employment by the fall semester 2022. You must not have previously received this grant at another institution. Awards are made for a period of up to five years, at $10,000 per year or as funding permits, as long as the recipient remains in good standing as a full-time faculty member.
All nominations must be submitted by the dean's office. Potential nominees should contact Jeff Frederick (jeffrey.frederick@umaryland.edu) promptly to confirm eligibility and review the materials required for submittal. All materials will be due to the dean's office by Aug. 24, 2022, to comply with the Aug. 31 submittal deadline.
