Each summer the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Summer Bioscience Internship Program (SBIP) provides paid research shadowing and mentored experiences for 25 Baltimore City high school students from West Baltimore through a partnership with the Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Employment Development YouthWorks summer program. This is a great opportunity to provide high school students with experience exploring science, health care, and research at UMB.

Interested mentors will serve in a mentoring/supervisory role for the high school students for four weeks (July 8 – Aug. 5, 2022). This will follow a week of orientation for participants beginning July 5.
