UMSON is increasing the stipend amounts for Graduate Research Assistants (GRA's) consistent with the Graduate School. The following are the new rates:

2021 - 2022      Pre-candidacy $28,000           Post-candidacy $29,000
2022 - 2023      Pre-candidacy $29,000           Post-candidacy $30,000

For GRA's paid by the Graduate School, they will provide $25,000 and UMSON will pay the difference for 2021 - 2022. Going forward, the Graduate School will pay the rates stated above.

For grant funded GRA's, faculty investigators should begin budgeting according to the rates shown above.

Please note these rates are for GRA's only. The rates for Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA's) remain unchanged.
