After a break due to COVID-19, the Maryland Court of Special Appeals will be returning to the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law to host oral arguments on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022. This annual tradition is a wonderful opportunity to see the court in action, and we encourage you to attend for one or all the cases.

Arguments begin at 9:30 a.m., and students will be advised to enter in between arguments. Members of the Moot Court Board will be available to help usher students in and out between case transitions. If you are unable to join us in person, please consider watching the court's webcast or stopping into one of the overflow rooms throughout the law school building.

After the arguments, the judges will step off the bench for a question-and-answer session moderated by Dean Renée McDonald Hutchins. The judges panel will include the Hon. Douglas Nazarian, the Hon. Dan Friedman JD '94, and the Hon. Alexander Wright Jr., JD '74.

If you have any questions, please contact Heather Thomas, associate dean for external relations, at hthomas@law.umaryland.edu.
