UMB Career Essentials is a series of classes covering skills that managers and supervisors are looking for in employees. Whether you are a new employee just getting started on your career or several years into your career journey, communication, critical thinking, decision making, teamwork, equity and inclusion, time management, and organization are career skills needed now to be successful.
The five core courses begin with a personal assessment to explore who you are and your strengths. The next series of core classes starts April 5 with Personal Assessment & Teamwork; April 19, Understanding Your Organization & Culture; May 3, Communication and Interpersonal Skills; May 17, Customer Service Excellence; and June 7, Diversity In The Workplace.
