Beginning March 1, some of the beautiful artwork from the most recent issue of UMB’s art and literary journal, 1807, will be available for viewing in a “petite gallery” in the Southern Management Corporation (SMC) Campus Center’s Fireplace Lounge.
This year’s gallery will feature artwork from 10 of the published artists, some of which are being offered for sale. There is a variety of media that will be on display, including metal, seed beads and crystal, photography, watercolor paintings, and a graphite drawing.
The lounge, located on the first floor of SMC, is a space regularly used by students for small group meetings, relaxation, and impromptu lunch gatherings. Occasionally, the fireplace is lit when there is consistent cold, wintry weather in Baltimore.
