The Baltimore chapter of the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) is hosting a second April meeting featuring Katie Shilton, PhD, MLIS, associate professor and program co-director of the BS in Social Data Science program at the University of Maryland, College Park.

This timely and impactful talk on the topic of “Trust in Research Using Digital Devices” aims to help attendees understand the ethical challenges unique to digital device research; explore the challenges to meaningful informed consent posed by digital device research; and understand how to combine consideration of factors like context, awareness, and power to conduct trustworthy digital device research.
