Attention May graduates! The University of Maryland Medical System's Practicum to Practice Program (P3) applications are now open! The deadline to apply is Dec. 8.
P3 gives nursing students an opportunity to select a 1:1 senior practicum placement. To participate, you must interview for and accept your first job as a clinical nurse on the practicum unit prior to the start of the program.

Overnight Caregiver Needed - Immediate Opening
A kind, compassionate, reliable caregiver is needed to assist a 24-year-old patient paralyzed from the shoulder down. This position would be ideally suited for an UMSON nursing student, as it will allow the opportunity to learn more about patients with spinal cord injuries and how to provide care to patients with similar needs.
The patient, Shahreen Zannat, graduated with a B.S. in biological sciences and psychology in 2022 from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She was also the valedictorian of her class.
Primary responsibilities include aiding with bowel regimen and overnight care.
Hours: 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.
Days: Monday - Friday
Compensation: $13/hour (negotiable)
Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center - Nurse Residency Program for New Nurse Graduates
Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center is currently offering three clinical positions for nursing students and recent graduates:
Student Nurse Patient Care Technician: A certified nursing assistant job for those currently enrolled in any semester of nursing school (must have an active Maryland CNA license to apply).
Student Nurse Extern: Students about to enter their final semester of nursing school. Occurs only once a year, from June - August. Our next cohort will begin June 2024.
Nursing Graduate: Our 12-month nurse residency program for new nurses/those who recently graduated from nursing school.
The University of Kansas Health System - Summer 2024 Externship – Application Now Open
If you are looking to travel to a new state this summer, why not consider traveling to the lovely state of Kansas? The University of Kansas Health System, a four-time Magnet-designated hospital recognized by the American Nurse Credentialing, is offering a paid eight-to-10-week nursing externship program in summer 2024.
Nursing students who will be graduating from an accredited nursing program in winter 2024 or spring/summer 2025 are eligible to apply. Out-of-state students are encouraged to apply.
Competitive pay is offered as well as an opportunity for housing at a subsidized rate for candidates from outside the Kansas City area, with most housing costs paid for by the health system.
