DEIC Meeting

Who We Are: The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DEIC) is a convening body comprised of diverse stakeholders from across the School of Social Work (SSW), including staff, faculty, students, and administration, as well as alumni and community representatives.

Our Mission: Actively foster and support the creation of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive SSW community that is anti-racist, anti-oppressive, where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

What We Do: Work in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) to offer training and resources, address issues of equity and accessibility within the SSW community, and engage in policy and advocacy activities that align with DEI-related values, principles, and practices within SSW, UMB, and the Baltimore community.
