Fire Extinguisher Digital Micro-Credential

The UMB Office of the Fire Marshal provides free training for students, faculty, and staff. 

Fire extinguisher training consists of a short presentation about the science of fire, the different types of fires and fire extinguishers, and how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Attendees then receive hands-on practice with a fire extinguisher simulator.

UMB students and employees can sign up to attend training online. All courses are limited to 20 attendees and will take place at 100 N. Greene St. (entrance on West Fayette Street) from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The following dates are available:

  • June 15
  • Aug. 10
  • Oct. 5
  • Dec. 14

Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will receive a digital micro-credential. This training is part of the Preparedness Pro digital micro-credential.
