The Interprofessional Program for Academic Community Engagement (IPACE) is a Universitywide initiative housed in the Department of Family and Community Health at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. The program facilitates community engagement through a focus on educational curriculum, faculty scholarship, and professional development for faculty, staff, and students. IPACE is working in collaboration with UMB’s Office of Community Engagement to roll out a campuswide community engagement database called Collaboratory.

A graduate teaching assistant (GTA) is needed full time for 20 hours per week beginning summer 2023. IPACE is looking for a detail-oriented student who is interested in community engagement and is comfortable working with a wide variety of staff and faculty at UMB.

GTA tasks are focused on implementation of the Collaboratory database. Primary tasks include data entry and moderation.
Other tasks may include:
  • Drafting summaries and reports
  • Communications development
  • Program logistics
