The University of Maryland is conducting a research study to test if the training using a novel elliptical machine can improve knee function in individuals with knee osteoarthritis.

Study protocol:
• The rehabilitation training will use a special designed elliptical machine.
• Training three times per week over six weeks.
• Each training session will last about 40 minutes.
• Participants will also need to complete three assessment sessions before and after the training, and six-week followup after the training ends.

Are you eligible?
• Ages 18-80
• Have knee osteoarthritis in one or both knees.
• No injuries or chronic disease at the hip, knee, and ankle that affect walking.
• No surgery of a joint replacement
