Newly hired full-time faculty members of UMSON may be eligible for the New Nursing Faculty Fellowship (NNFF) awarded by the Maryland Higher Education Commission. To be eligible, applicants must be working in a full-time teaching capacity and must have been offered employment after July 1, 2022 and begin their employment by the fall semester 2023. You are not eligible if you have previously received this grant at another institution. Awards are made for a period of up to five years, at $10,000 per year or as funding permits, as long as the recipient remains in good standing as a full-time faculty member. 

All nominations for the NNFF must be submitted by the dean's office. Potential nominees should contact Jeff Frederick at jeffrey.frederick@umaryland.edu promptly to confirm eligibility and review the required application materials. All materials will be due to the dean's office by Aug. 24 in order to comply with the Aug. 31 submittal deadline.
