NexTrex Challenge flyer of acceptable materials

From July 1, 2023, to Jan. 1, 2024, the Office of Sustainability aims to collect 500 pounds of soft plastics from across campus. Upon achieving this goal, the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) will receive a donated composite bench from Trex.

Accepted Materials:

Produce/bread bags, ice bags, plastic shopping bags, Ziploc bags, bubble wrap, plastic mailers, newspaper sleeves, cereal box liners, dry cleaning bags, case overwrap. All items must be clean, dry, and free of food residue.

Drop-Off Locations: 

  • Lexington Building (Lobby)
  • Medical School Teaching Facility (Biomedical Research Supply Core — BIORESCO)
  • Pascault Row (Recycling Room, 661-11)
  • Pharmacy Hall (Atrium, outside N103)
  • School of Nursing (Lobby, by elevators)
  • SMC Campus Center (Lobby, by Amazon lockers)
