Run, Hide, Fight

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is committed to creating an informed, resilient community. UMB has developed several training opportunities and resources to ensure our students, faculty, staff, and visitors are prepared in the unlikely event of an active assailant.

Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) and Active Assailant Preparedness trainings are now available online. A UMB ID is required. Start the training now by visiting umaryland.edu/assailantprep (scroll to Training and Resources).

CRASE training is also available in person through UMB Police and Public Safety. Trainings may be offered at the UMB Police Training Facility, located at 100 N. Greene St. (entrance on West Fayette Street), or we can come to your office, conference room, or other on-campus location. Training locations will need audio/visual capabilities and seats for all participants. Request training by contacting Sgt. Thaddeus Baker: tbaker@police.umaryland.edu.
