The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is committed to promoting a culture of preparedness and resiliency. UMB has developed an online Emergency Preparedness training to ensure our students, faculty, staff, and visitors are prepared for emergencies.

Learn what actions to take during an emergency, where to find lifesaving emergency equipment, and how to take more preparedness training at UMB. Start the training now by visiting umbsafe.org/OnlineEMPrep. It’s recommended you are at UMB when you complete the training as it will guide you through identifying your building’s emergency features.

Emergency Preparedness training is also available in person with the UMB Office of Emergency Management. We will come to your office, conference room, or other on-campus location to help you walk through the space and identify important emergency features. Training locations will need audio/visual capabilities and seats for all participants. Request training by contacting emergencymanagement@umaryland.edu.
