About Stanley Snacks

In the Baltimore Metro area, approximately 1 in 3 children arrive or leave school hungry. Too many children in Baltimore experience food insecurity and hunger. Studies prove food insecurity impairs academic development, and hungry children are more likely to suffer from hyperactivity, absenteeism, behavioral challenges than their non-hungry peers. Stanley Snacks fills the hunger gap in Baltimore by providing healthier snacks to schools to distribute to students in need. The organization started in 2015 after a heartbreaking visit to a Baltimore City Public School, where the founder witnesses a student refused lunch due to a overdue lunch balance. Even now that most schools offer free and reduced lunch, some students still suffer in silence hungry due to food disparity. Thanks to Stanley Snacks over 7,000 students and 17 schools are provided snacks to ensure no student is left hungry. More information about us can be found at https://stanleysnacks.org/
