Essential Experiential Education: A Passport to Practice identity

UMSON’s New Essentials Curriculum Revision Taskforce (NE CRT), in conjunction with UMSON’s Office of Communications, is pleased to present the final identity it has adopted to consistently visually designate our coordinated efforts at both levels for New Essentials work.

The identity is the product of multiple collaborative brainstorming and survey efforts since January 2022.

The tagline, Essential Experiential Education: A Passport to Practice, is a combination of ideas developed in small-group creative sessions. We sent this concept to the UMB Office of Communications and Public Affairs, which developed several design approaches.

At the December NE CRT retreat, participants voted on a choice of options. One design emerged as the clear favorite, but concerns were raised that the image of a hand should be removed from the design, as it was impossible to adequately represent diversity in a single hand.

The identity you see here is the result, with all feedback taken into consideration. We hope you like it as much as we do.
