On March 17, the Chesapeake Chapter of the Society of Research Administrators International will host its 2023 Chesapeake Chapter meeting in Baltimore at the SMC Campus Center at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The theme for this year's meeting is "At a Crossroads: The Intersection of Development, Training, and Wellness in Your Career," with a focus on career development and sanity during these changing times of COVID-19 and telework.
This year's meeting will have concurrent sessions presented by knowledgeable professionals in research administration, and the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the region. We have a packed agenda including: Human Resources for a Department Administrator, Crafting an Elevator Speech, Career Mentorship, Research Administration Training, and Emotional Intelligence — just to name a few! Plus, we are lucky to have a planned lunch visit from the UMB Police Department comfort dog Officer Poe.
