BHWISE Fellows

The Behavioral Health Workforce Integration Service and Education (BHWISE) Fellowships consist of four training programs for MSW students committed to a career providing behavioral health services to individuals, families, and communities, especially underserved populations.

BHWISE fellows will receive interprofessional educational opportunities, specialized training seminars, focused coursework, and an educational stipend while participating in one of the four fellowship programs.

BHWISE Lifespan: Lifespan is an advanced year fellowship for students interested in a career in behavioral health with an emphasis on behavioral health integration. This fellowship includes a $10,000 stipend.

BHWISE ADVANCE/AVANCE: ADVANCE is an advanced year fellowship for students interested in behavioral health careers focused on children and adolescents. This program has an emphasis on culturally and linguistically appropriate services. This fellowship includes a $15,000 stipend.

BHWISE SUDWE: SUDWE is an advanced year/advanced standing fellowship for students interested in substance use disorder treatment. This fellowship includes a $15,000 stipend.

>> Application Deadlines: Feb. 15, 2024, for current students and March 15, 2024, for advanced standing students.

BHWISE SUDIF: SUDIF is a two-year fellowship for MSW students who wish to pursue a course of study focusing on the treatment of substance use disorders. SUDIF recipients will be awarded a total stipend of $28,000 ($6,000 per semester in the foundation year and $8,000 per semester in the advanced year).
