The UMB Center for Addiction Research, Education, and Service (CARES), through its Science to Service grant (SSG) program, is seeking applications for 12-month pilot research projects. Proposed projects should demonstrate the capacity to produce measurable outcomes that enhance knowledge related to substance use disorders (SUDs), particularly projects with the potential to enhance SUD service delivery. The SSG program anticipates funding three to four projects at $50,000 maximum per applicant.

Potential applicants are asked to provide notice of the intent to apply for funding via email to: mtuten@ssw.umaryland.edu by Feb. 20, 2023. Notification of intent to apply is not required to submit an application.

The submission deadline for proposals is April 28, 2023. It is anticipated that funding for awarded projects will begin as early as June 1, 2023.
