Private Pine, UMB Police and Public Safety's "elf recruit," returns Dec. 1 to the department's Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.
Now in its fourth year, Private Pine comes each December to highlight public safety partnerships, resources, and more. Members of the UMB community voted to name the 2023 Private Pine safety campaign. The winner (by far) was "Yule Be Safe, Not Sorry."
The campaign name is appropriate, because when Private Pine returned this year, he unfortunately forgot many important safety tips. Not to worry! The UMB Police and Public Safety team will spend all month reminding the elf of quick and easy ways to stay safe.
Chief Thomas Leone warned Private Pine that we don't want any North Pole mischief around here, but we'll see what happens.
