September 13, 2023On Sept. 28 at noon, the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation, Docs with Disabilities Initiative, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), and Johns Hopkins University Disability Health Research Center will host the third and final webinar in our series on exploring the barriers to inclusion for nurses with disabilities.
Barriers and Belief Systems: Addressing Disability Accommodations and Inclusion through a DEI Lens
For each webinar, a 1.0 contact hour of Nursing Continuing Professional Development is being offered. The AACN is an accredited provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Part three will address the inclusion of disability as a diversity, equity, and inclusion imperative. This webinar will briefly cover the process for determining reasonable accommodation, common accommodations in nursing education and training, and outline the faculty role in the process of determining and implementing accommodation.
